Herba Saussureae Involucratae (Tianshan snow lotus)

Looks like a sweet potato cause it is covered with sandAfter washed, it is white in colour
In Malaysia sold for RM8 per kg
Transparent looking lotus root when peeled
Yellow in colour after finish peeling
The skin of Tianshan Snow Lotus
The yellow flesh
Can be eaten raw
Taste like sengkuang but the texture more like sugar cane. Taste better than sengkuang. Originally from China.
