Do you know how much a 'pengawal keselamatan' earns a month minus the uniform bought? How long do they work in a day? How many days off they will get? Most of them are retired soldiers. It is inadequate to feed themselves and their family if without the support of their pension. Who will take the blame if any break in happens? They sacrifice their time (at night without sleeping) and money (fuel to stroll the school which has a big compound and telephone bill to contact certain teacher or school administrator). Will you become a security guard in a school? I salute the work they are doing and I hope they will get better wages than now and their welfare well taken care of.
