WHAT'S YOUR CORE CONTEST


This “What’s your Core?” Contest (“The Contest”) is open to all Malaysian residents.
 1.    Participants must be residents of Malaysia, permanent residents or expatriates, who are currently living in Malaysia and must be 15 years of age and above.
 2.    By participating in this contest organized by Intel Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd (“the Organizer” or “Intel”), the Participants would be deemed to have read and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein.
 3.    Participants are required to create a poster sized visual according to the guidelines stated herein and submit to the Organizer. All submitted visuals are non-returnable and shall remain the sole property of Intel.  Intel reserves the right to revise, amend, edit, reproduce, publicise or to exhibit the submissions in any form of media or medium, including but not limited to Facebook, the Intel Blog site and/or other Intel related websites, whether locally or internationally without any prior notification or remuneration made to participants.
 4.    Intel reserves the right at any time in its absolute discretion and without prior notice to exclude a participant from any further participation in the Contest.
 5.    The Contest will commence on 14 December 2009 and end on 8 January 2010.   Intel may at its sole and absolute discretion extend the Contest period at any time without prior notice .  Unless otherwise varied to the contrary, any participation in the Contest during such extended period (if any) shall be governed by these terms and conditions herein, which shall remain in full force and effect and shall be read and construed to be enforceable.
 6.    The Contest is divided into two submission categories of Media Category and Public Category and one bonus category for People’s Choice Category. Participants are required to submit their visuals to Media Category (if relevant) or the Public Category. For the Media Category, you are also required to state the publication you represent for verification purposes.
 7.    All entries must be received no later than 5pm, 8 January 2010 to be eligible for the contest.
 8.    Participants are required to email a digital version (soft copy) of their visuals to core@in2.com.my according to the following specifications:

 10. The judging criteria for the submission will be based on:
a.    How well you link your visual and the caption to the Intel® Core™ range of processors.
b.    Creativity
·         Interesting use of Layout, Design, Picture, Color, Style, Words and overall impact created by the visual and the caption.
 11. Submissions must not contain sensitive issues or material, i.e. no racist remarks, no political opinions, no profanity, no nudity and no obscenity. Inclusions of which will be grounds for disqualification.
 12. Each contestant may create and submit more than one visual. However, each contestant can only win one prize. However, this does not affect the contestants chance to win in the People’s Choice Category.
 13. The visual must be original, not in the public domain, factually accurate, and must not infringe or violate any law or the legal or equitable right of any person or entity, nor contain material that infringes or violates any personal property rights of others or that constitutes defamation, invasion of privacy, an infringement of the intellectual property rights of any third person, or is otherwise unlawful.
 14. The winners of Media and Public category will be determined by judges appointed and determined by Intel. The judges' decisions on all matters relating to the Contest including the decisions in determining the winners will be final, conclusive and binding and no further correspondence or attempts to appeal, review or dispute such decisions will be entertained.
 15. People’s Choice Category will consist of a selection of entries from the Media Category and from the Public Category, determined by the appointed judges and subsequently uploaded onto an online portal allocation, i.e. Facebook for voting purposes.
 16. The winner of People’s Choice Category will be determined through the `LIKE’ voting system of Facebook.  No other forms of voting are acceptable or will be entertained.
 17. Voting period for People’s Choice Category will be open as and when participants submit their visuals. Voting will close at 5.00pm, 12 January 2010. Intel may at its sole and absolute discretion extend the voting period at any time without prior notice .  Unless otherwise varied to the contrary, any participation in the voting during such extended period (if any) shall be governed by these terms and conditions herein, which shall remain in full force and effect and shall be read and construed to be enforceable.
 18. All relevant participants will be notified via email once their visual is selected and uploaded to Facebook, to check on their entry and lobby for their `LIKE’ votes.
 19. The visual that receives the most `LIKE’ votes will be the Winner for People’s Choice Category and win a prize worth RM1,000.00.
 20. In the event of a tie, the participants will be asked to answer questions relating to Intel and the Contestant who correctly answers the question shall be deemed the winner.  
21. Intel is not responsible for any delay, error, failure, problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of electronic mail or entries on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to any entrant’s or to any other computer related to or resulting from participation in, or downloading materials for, this Contest.  If for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Intel which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Intel reserves the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
22. Intel is not responsible for lost, misdirected, delayed, destroyed or illegible entries.
23. Gifts and prizes are not transferable, nor exchangeable for cash or any other goods.
24. All winners will receive notification either by telephone, e-mail or post to inform them of their win as well as instructions on how to collect their prizes.  Winners will be notified should there be a prize giving ceremony.  Intel shall not be responsible or be liable if any of the winners cannot be contacted. Intel further reserves the absolute right to disqualify any winner if any attempt to contact them has failed for any reason whatsoever. Any appeal will not be entertained.
25. The prizes to be given out are solely at Intel’s discretion. Intel reserves the right to change the prizes at any given time without any reason(s) whatsoever.
26. Unless advised to the contrary all winners must claim their prize(s) in person. Identification (such as NRIC/Passport) will be required.  Intel reserves the right to verify the information of the winners before the collection of prizes.
27. All additional expenses beyond those declared as the prize will be at the winner’s own expense.
28. Intel makes no representations or warranties with respect to any prizes provided under this Contest; in particular, Intel gives no warranty with respect to the merchantability, quality of the prizes or their suitability for any purposes.
29. Intel shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts in respect of the prizes offered and published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials.
30. Intel is not responsible for any misrepresentation of facts, injuries or loss of lives or valuables resulting from any of the prizes won through this Contest and further shall not be liable, whether direct or consequential, for any loss or damages or whatsoever suffered by the participants resulting from their participation in the Contest or as a result of any act or omission on the part of Intel.
31. Intel is not responsible for any damage to the prize(s) during delivery and shall not take delivery of any prize returned by the prize winner for whatever reason. Intel shall further not be responsible for any prize that is defective, lost, damaged or stolen.
32. Intel reserves the right to publish or display the names and submissions of winners for advertising and publicity purposes including in any form of media, from time to time without any prior consent from and/or any form of payment to the winner(s).
33. Intel reserves the right to use the information of the participants for its marketing activities at all times. Intel will not release the participants’ personal information to any third party without their consent.
34. By entering into the Contest, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Intel and all associated and affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all damages, costs, expenses, and other liabilities, including damages for personal injury or damage to property, whether the damages are direct or indirect, and regardless of whether the claim is based on contract, tort or any other legal theory, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Contest or any portion thereof or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of the prize.
35. Intel reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time, without notice.
36. Intel reserves the right to change the terms and conditions for this Contest, through either written or verbal communication, anytime without prior notice.
37. By entering in the Contest, contestants have fully agreed to the terms and conditions and to the decisions of Intel being final and binding in all respects.
