Then it was Formula 1, now Olympics Opening Ceremony. RTM can either make the news at 8 pm a half an hour earlier to make way for the opening ceremony or rerun the opening ceremony later so the viewers can be supportive to RTM and not Astro. Another thing is the advertisement keep interrupting the opening ceremony every few minutes are quite disturbing. My colleagues were also frustrated with RTM.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS SHORTEN AND FESTIVE SEASONS A WEEK BREAK

I just hope festive seasons break return to a week for ‘Hari Raya Puasa’, ‘Tahun Baru Cina’ and a few days for ‘Hari Deepavali’. Therefore it will not burden the school administrator to find a replacement day on Saturday where students usually will not come. Pity the bus driver to arrange time to fetch students from different time, school and date during the replacement.

Nice design for Savvy new facelift (It is just speculation). I prefer this new facelift more than the old version Proton ‘Gostan’. Hopefully while waiting for hybrid from Proton cars, a new facelift for Proton Savvy will come out sooner to compete against Perodua Viva and Myvi.

FAREWELL ANDREA PININFARINA

Andrea Pininfarina’s name can be seen in any Hyundai Matrix. I came to know it from a friend a few years back. Andrea is also well-known in designing Italian sports car (Ferrari). Andrea was killed in a motorcycle accident in Turin, not far from the company's headquarters on 7th August 2008. He was only 51 years old. Best regards to Andrea’s family. (Source: autoblog.com)

SERVICE AND GOVERNMENT TAX IMPOSED ON CONSUMERS

I wonder why so-called service tax and government tax imposed on us. Consumers did not ask for extra service and still have to queue when ordering for food. Government should implement taxes only on fast food outlets alone. Why us?

Who is telling the truth here? Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein does not agreed with the statement from Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Yes, indeed the public university graduates needed to fill teaching posts in secondary school but the priority will given to teacher training institutes and also KPLI. Please comment on this.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said there was no reason why the ministry would do so as it also needed the public university graduates to fill its teaching posts in secondary school.
“How can there be discrimination when no cohort of students doing the undergraduate degree in education has graduated from the public universities yet?” he told reporters after presenting awards to five top Malaysian students who will travel to Kazakhstan to experience the launch of a Measat satellite.

The price of petrol goes up the next 3 days last month after the announcement of petrol increasing the next three month. Now the petrol prices will be going down with the announcement made on 31 July 2008. When do you reckon it will drop and how much it is going to be? What is your opinion on petrol station to go self service nationwide?

RTM ENCOURAGING MAT REMPITS

RTM have been advertising java games using ‘Rempit’ as its title. “SMS ON REMPIT TO …”. It is better to use other names rather than rempit. Media is a good source of educating young people and also giving bad influences. RTM should have be more concern on this issue.

USE HYDROFUEL COZ FUEL PRICES SOAR?

Recently PM announced measures to combat increasing fuel prices. One of the ways is to use Hydro fuel which was done locally. Details on ‘Hydro fuel’ not fully given out. No idea how much it will cost to convert from fuel car to Hydro fuel cars. No new Hydro fuel cars available here. I bet is to increase ‘somebody’ income either before the transaction of power by the mid of June 2010 or the UMNO general assembly by end of this year. Brilliant idea to increase fuel prices before month of August because the world fuel prices will decline by then. Lately, the price of a barrel of oil dropped by US$16. While the world prices decreases what about the fuel prices here? Stay the same? Where the extra money will go to? Giving out using rebates in road tax? Guess what? Money to replace old Proton Banana’s with Lexus later on.
