Kamunting Detention Centre

A group gathered in front of the Kamunting detention centre at 5.45pm yesterday pressing for the release of all ISA detainees. It lasted till night falls. MCA: Beef up Taiping police. Ref: Thestar on 29th April 2008(Nation, page N24). Policemen were seen doing their job catching 'Mat Rempits'. However the numbers of 'Mat Rempits' are growing stronger and stronger. Few of the 'Mat Rempits' were wondering around 'Giant', 'Tesco' and some can be spotted passing through the overhead bridge from Taiping town to Kamunting during broad daylight. Imagine what will happen when one the 'Mat Rempits' involved an accident with a road user and just Hit and Run?
