St George's Institution Scouts Intro Camp on 17-20th April 2008 at Caravan Park,

Taiping Lake Garden

The purpose for this Introduction Camp is to train the younger scouts from Remove Classes to Form 3 classes. The patrol leader and the assistant patrol leader will be the seniors scouts(usually the Form 4 and Form 5 classes) while the super senior scouts will be the students from the Form 6 classes and even those who are working or futhering studies in colleges. Although the super seniors are in hectic schedule, they allocate a bit of their time to make sure the Intro Camp is running smoothly. This is what we call 'Georgian Spirit'. Some how the scouts from King Edward secondary school is also having a camp at their school compound. The tradition must go on. Hopefully the scouts in St George's Institution will be very much alive with the help of a teacher, Mr.Ng Lai Hock, an old georgian commitee member Mr. Yeap and even the school leavers who contribute their effort and time.

Hurray it's a holiday and it falls on weekend too!

DYMM Sultan Azlan Shah's birthday falls on Saturday, 19th April 2008. It's a public holiday in Perak state. Enjoy the holiday with friends and family. All shopping centres going to be human sardines for sure.

Triumph Fair

On the 6th April 2008, there is a catwalk show at 1 Utama. Some of the wellknown Malaysian designers were there such as Bill Keith and Carven Ong. It was spectacular. Photographers from all sorts of magazines were there before the catwalk started at 8pm. Some of the photographers lenses looked like a 'Hubble Telescope'.

Decoration of Interact Club Logo in St George’s Institution, Taiping

The members of Interact Club were working together on 12th April 2008 from 8am to 2pm to create a corner for Interact Club in the school compound. First, they clean up the place before planting flowers to beautify the place. Lastly, they decorated the logo using a few bamboos. This is going to be a weekly project for the members. In weeks to come, some photos will be taken to show you all.

TAMAN Bukit Mas residents in Taiping who have been frequently hit by flash floods will have to wait for about three months before their predicament is solved.

Parking Woes

This situation happened when the parents and the school bus who park improper during school hours in front of SRJK(C) Hua Lian in Aulong, Taiping. Not even the policemen are bothered. If matter gets worse, the other road users have to wait or endure for a few of their precious minutes. Will this situation keep going on forever?
